Why this integration exists
Charities, schools and nonprofits often ask for discounted pricing or tax-exempt invoices. Without a way to verify them, you're trusting a checkbox - and either eating the discount on bookings that shouldn't qualify, or making every legitimate nonprofit email proof of status before you can quote them.
ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer is the public lookup for the IRS Exempt Organizations database. BoothBook calls it the moment a customer enters their EIN on a booking form, confirms the organisation is currently registered, and pulls back the legal name on file. No back-and-forth, no manual checks.
